OUR TEAM

Ed Marek

Founder

Since starting in the real estate business in 1979, Mr. Marek has built a track record of success as a manager of commercial real estate, investor, developer, broker, and lender. Mr. Marek has participated in well over $1 billion dollars worth of real estate and finance transactions. Additionally, Mr. Marek has been actively involved in numerous real estate investment and development projects as an owner and managing partner. Mr. Marek's clients include such national firms as Rite Aid Drug Stores (as a preferred developer), Chicago Title, American Golf, Regency Centers, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and Goodwill.

 

Mr. Marek is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), California Mortgage Association (CMA), and Rainmaker U. His charitable affiliations include the California Heart Center Foundation, Maryvale, Catholic Big Brothers, and his alma mater Crespi High School, where he previously served on the Board of Directors. Mr. Marek resides in Westlake Village with his two children. Mr. Marek has an undergraduate degree from California State University, Northridge, and a graduate degree from the University of Virginia.

Chief Financial Officer

Darren Hill is responsible for sourcing, underwriting, documenting, and closing and managing transactions. Mr. Hill has been in real estate for 25 years and has executed investment strategies ranging from institutional funds to private syndications. Prior to Marhilus, Mr. Hill has spent 7 years at Capital Real Estate Advisors identifying and executing real estate investment projects for the company and key clients. Mr. Hill also spent 12 years in institutional real estate for CBRE Investors, American Realty Advisors and PriceWaterhouseCooper, where he worked on over $5 billion in real estate transactions across the United States.

 

Darren received his Bachelor of Science degree in real estate from Arizona State University in 1996 and his Master of Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 1999.

Nicholas Oertli

Mr. Oertli began his career in the commercial real estate industry in 2016, managing assets for several different private real estate investment firms in both the residential and commercial real estate industry. At OTS Property Advisors, Nicholas leads the company's business development efforts, identifying and pursuing new opportunities to expand the company's portfolio of managed properties. He also works closely with clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions that help them achieve their goals. Nicholas is passionate about the real estate industry and is committed to delivering exceptional service to his clients. His team has over 20 years of combined experience in real estate management, investment, and finance, and has completed well over a billion dollars in real estate transactions. 

 

 

Mr. Oertli is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and Rainmaker U. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from California Lutheran University, where he played on the Men’s NCAA Volleyball team. Mr. Oertli resides in Malibu, CA. 

Brian Tucker is the Property Manager for OTS Property Advisors. Before his entry into real estate, Brian owned and operated a fitness studio in Culver City, California. He uses his experience as a business owner to foster strong landlord-tenant relationships and deliver exceptional customer service. He goes above and beyond to satisfy the needs of clients while always striving to improve the company’s operations. Brian is a results-oriented professional with strong communication skills, committed to delivering excellence in all aspects of property management


Brian received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Imagining  from Lehigh University in 2008 and his Master of Fine Arts from Digital Media Arts College in 2009.
